The accession consists of eight blueprints of research vessel Alexander Agassiz made in 1966 by Ocean Sciene and Engineering, Inc. which detail its conversion from a supply vessel to a research vessel. The blueprints include a ship plan, proposed derrick, deep coring winch foundation, modifications to hot and cold fresh water and sanitation systems, vents and drains, air conditioning and ventilation modifications, electrical systems modifications and uncontaminated salt water piping to shipboard laboratories.
